The first batch of iPhone 13 users have reported various bugs, and iPhone 13 cannot be unlocked with Apple Watch is one of them. In the iOS 15 update, iPhone can be unlocked with a mask after being connected to the Apple Watch. The iPhone 13 can’t connect to the Apple Watch and it’s very unsolvable. Do you know how to solve it?

What to do if iPhone 13 can’t connect to Apple Watch

Waiting for Apple to fix

Many friends have encountered the problem that the iPhone 13 series cannot be unlocked with Apple Watch, right? It seems that there is no good way to solve this problem. Apple should solve this large-scale user problem soon. Let’s wait for the new update.

[New Update 2021.09.28]

The problem that iPhone 13 cannot be unlocked with Apple Watch has been fixed in iOS15.1 beta 2. The second beta version of iOS15.1 released by Apple to developers on Tuesday can unlock iPhone 13 with Apple Watch while wearing a mask again. You can install iOS 15.1 and watchOS 8.1 to try.

Restore your Apple Watch and Connect It Again

Try these steps:

  1. Reset the watch,
  2. Log out of your Apple ID and then reset the iPhone.
  3. When activating, do not log in your account. Just connect the Apple Watch directly. After the connection is successful, turn on the option to unlock the iPhone, and finally log in to iCloud.

My Guess

iPhone13, iOS15, Apple Watch5, Watch OS8 are all encountered the same problem. It is useless to re-pairing, reconnecting after canceling Bluetooth. I guess it’s a bug in one of the systems on both sides.

Please pay attention to those who have bought the iPhone 13 series and have not received it. Now I have encountered a bug and checked on Reddit, There are many people face the same problem, but there is no way to unlock the iPhone with Apple Watch. I can’t connect the Apple Watch to my iPhone and tried various methods to find the solution. Apple’s official technical support team just told me that it was not a hardware problem (I think it should be true, the macbook can still be connected normally), maybe only I was able to wait for the system to be updated. I was happy to receive the new iPhone 13, But this bug makes me speechless.
